How to Get Help
Although survivors of domestic violence can feel (and be) very isolated, there are many organizations waiting to help.
For those abusers who are willing to change their behavior, or who are ordered to participate in a batterers intervention program by a court, there are also effective local resources.
There are University of Michigan services on the Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses that can provide direct assistance and referral to appropriate community resources.
This site also provides resources in southeast Michigan and northern Ohio as well as information on national hotlines and advocacy organizations serving individuals, employers, and advocates.
